The Slim Grandchild was first made by Käthe Kruse for the 40th Jubilee of the Käthe Kruse Studios. The doll was inspired by her own grandchildren.

The slim body stands 18 inches tall and is hand-stuffed with reindeer hair. The Doll VIII head is made of polystyrol and hand-painted with fine detail and the eyes look slightly to the side. Fritz has real hair cut to a modern style. He wears traditional lederhosen and a white shirt with his name embroidered on the front. His woolen vest is gray and green and he wears a neckerchief. Woolen socks and leather shoes complete his outfit. For the next climbing tour he carries his climbing rope. Fritz is limited to only 100 dolls worldwide.
