The warm and water-repellent down jacket KUPPONEN by REIMA made of a material based on coffee beans not only looks great, but also has exciting properties:
The dark blue jacket is made from a heat-retaining fabric based on ground coffee. For the production, ground coffee is carbonized at very high temperatures and broken down into microscopic particles, which are characterized by a honeycomb structure. When these are made into polyester, tiny holes are created in the fibers that store heat. In combination with a filling of 60% down and 40% feathers, this new, shimmering material based on coffee beans keeps children nice and warm outside.
The material is also windproof, water-repellent and breathable. The hood can be easily unbuttoned and reflective elements ensure greater visibility in the dark.
