Zotty – an evergreen classic since 1951 – has won countless children’s hearts, not least that of Margarete Steiff’s great-great-great-nephew Peter Hotz, who modelled for the Steiff catalogue at the tender age of three. Made of finest mohair, Peter’s Zotty is available in a limited edition of 969, a number chosen to mark the year of his birth: 1969. His convivial charm, impressive growler and caramel-tipped coat are exactly the same as in the early days. Each Teddy bear comes with a copy of an old photo depicting Peter Hotz and his favourite cuddly animal. The custom-made photo frame calls to mind the green window panes in the Steiff factory hall.
